posted Apr 15, 2019, 6:13 AM by Mr. Ingram   [ updated Apr 23, 2019, 6:40 AM ] MONDAY     8C SCIENCE - Students continued working on their Cell City.  They drew a model of an animal cell and used the parts of a city to reflect the parts of a cell and their functions.     7B MATH - Students worked on creating and finding equivalent fractions.  We looked at using online manipulatives such as fraction strips.     7C MATH - Students worked in partners and small groups to correct integer work from Thursday.  We reviewed concepts and reinforced the importance of understanding process and not just the final answers.      7A MATH - Students worked on creating and finding equivalent fractions.  We looked at using online manipulatives such as fraction strips.    TUESDAY     7C MATH - Students worked on finding the common denominator of two fractions, they also worked on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed into improper.7B MATH - Students worked on finding the common denominator of two fractions, they also worked on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed into improper.7A MATH - Students worked on finding the common denominator of two fractions, they also worked on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed into improper.8C SCIENCE - Students continued working on their Cell City.  This was the last class to finish, so students may have to come in during break to finish.     WEDNESDAY     7B MATH - Students worked on finding common denominators and converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions.     7C MATH - Students worked on finding common denominators and converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions.     8C SCIENCE - Students had a chance to practice parts of the cell and their functions.     THURSDAY     7C MATH - Students learned how to add and subtract integers (finding a common denominator first).  They practiced on worksheets while collaborating with partners.     7A MATH - Students worked on finding common denominators and converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions.     7B MATH - Students learned how to add and subtract integers (finding a common denominator first).  They practiced on worksheets while collaborating with partners.
