I use technology a LOT in my classroom and in my teaching.
I
try to make taking notes and recording information or assessments as efficient as possible so I can focus on teaching my students instead of doing a lot of paperwork.
This page will share some of the tools I have developed, and some tools that I have found over the years (all credit goes to other's work where appropriate).

I'm not a software company or anything ... so I won't be providing support for you or act as a helpline if you get stuck.  Sorry.  Anything hosted here is up for grabs if you find it useful - it's provided as is.  If you have any feedback or anything you'd like to share, please let me know!

Behaviour Tracking Excel Spreadsheet

This spreadsheet needs you to enable macros for it to work.  It is also protected (but without a password).
You can enter individual student behaviours and the discipline/consequences for them.  It can track how many issues occur each month for everyone or each individual student.

You can search by student first name to only look at those records.  Every column can be sorted and filtered.  It will automatically change to reflect the current school year.

Marking and Tracking Excel Spreadsheet

This spreadsheet needs you to enable macros for it to work.  It is also protected (but without a password).
Every class you want to keep marks for can have its name and colour customized.  Each column can have its own weighting.  Marks should be entered as a percent;  a rubric showing level equivalents is on each page to make it easy to enter grades.

You can sort each page by first name, last name, or by overall average.  If you click on the small triangles above the student name columns you can filter results and only show a single student if you wish.  The main page provides a quick glance at all classes.  There is even an IOU page to track students that still need to write tests or hand in assignments.  Just about everything is done automatically for you in this spreadsheet!
